The rainbow trout, also known as pink trout is very ligth and tasty. Its flesh can be white, pink, or orange and has a delicate almost nutty flavour. 

It tastes lighter than ocean fish. For the recipe below you can also use the gutted fish with heads and tails still on, but be careful of bones!

    The key is to add water to the dish as instructed in the directions, which keeps the fish from drying out; add hot water as cold water can crack the baking dish.

    Oven roasted: Preheat your oven to 375°F – 400°F. Place trout in baking pan covered with parchment or foil and a light spritz of cooking spray.
